What are some insights from anthropology that you think might be useful to world leaders considering policies for potential future environmental challenges?

Answer :

Anthropological insight useful to the world leader

The environmental challenge is one of the most serious challenges for the world leader as it significantly affects the world's climate. Therefore, there is a need for the world leader to gain insight into anthropological insight in order to develop policies related to environmental challenges. The world leaders should analyze the interaction of human beings with the environment and how their actions and activities affect the environment. The action and activities of human being significantly affect the environment in many ways. Deforestation is one of the major concerns that should be considered by the world leader. People are cutting the forest at a very fast rate. Apart from this, new trees are not being planted and factories are being established that produce greenhouse gases (Palmer, 2017). Large hydropower projects are being constructed that are directly affecting and threatening the river ecosystem. Thus, the world leader should consider these insights but they should not be limited to these only.

The potential future environmental challenge

Considering the future environmental challenge, the world leader should consider sustainable development. Sustainable development does not only help in dealing with future environmental challenges but also the optimum use of natural resources. Optimum use of natural resources will significantly help in improving human interaction with the environment. They should focus on developing a set of conservation strategies for biodiversity. Apart from this, they should also consider land-use management, public policy decision, and advocacy for urban minorities, indigenous people, and other groups (Palmer, 2017). They can also develop a set of environmental questions in order to raise awareness among the general public to protect the environment.
