Who dies in Othello?
Many characters in Othello by William Shakespeare pass away during the play, including Desdemona, Emilia, Roderigo, and Othello. In Act V, Scene 2 of Shakespeare play, Desdemona tells her husband, “That death’s unnatural that kills for loving.” Desdemona and the audience both know that Othello is going to kill her, but not because of anything she has done. Rather, it is due to her mistaken sense of guilt.
The murder of Desdemona is most likely the most terrible death. She who was killed by her envious husband. Iago creates a complex strategy to claim that Desdemona has betrayed Othello. He convinces Othello that he should be watching Desdemona since she is having an affair with Cassio.
He then requests that his wife Emilia pick up Desdemona’s handkerchief, dropping it off at Cassio’s house. Iago is aware of how crucial the handkerchief is to Desdemona. This is how the woman expresses her worries about the missing accessory. Othello becomes so angry at Cassio that he becomes blinded by envy.
Emilia is surprised to find out about the plot to accuse Desdemona and her part in it. In an attempt to stop Othello from killing Desdemona. She dashed into his bedroom, but it was too late.
Emilia begins exposing her husband’s terrible plan to everyone. Iago stabs his wife in front of everybody because he doesn’t want to disclose his plans.
For Othello, finding out the truth about his wife is a devastating blow. He becomes aware that he was a victim of the plot by Iago and killed an innocent wife. He grabs a blade and tries to kill him when Iago arrives, but all he manages to do is cut him. He feels that death is the only thing he deserves and does not see any purpose to live.
