Which facts about lines of longitude are true Choose all answers that are correct

B. measure in a north to south direction

C. are called meridians

D. number 360 around earth

Answer: A. run from north to south

Parallels, or meridians, are the lines that go from north to south crossing the globe on the imaginary. They have the capability of measuring the longitude of a planet ‘s east- west position. Likewise, the Greenwich meridian, which goes thought Greenwich in England, is designated as 0° longitude and the rest of the lines of longitude numbered from 0° to 180° going eastwards and westwards complete a full circle of 360° around the Earth. This is the purpose of Coordinates in geographic mapping and the determination of the exact position a point has in relation to both longitude (meridians) which measure the east-west position and latitude (parallels) which measure the north-south position.
