However, the liver does indeed have some involvement with the immune system, for example, it produces complement proteins and it filters pathogens, however, it does not produce antibodies. This function is accomplished by the lymphatic system of the body consisting of the lymph nodes, spleen and bone marrow where B cells develop and release antibodies regarding antigens.
