Answer: Protein synthesis and DNA are diametrically linked to each other; it is the ‘encyclopaedia’ of each and every living being. Essentially a double coiled molecule situated in the nucleus of cell, DNA is made up of nucleotide bases which in their totality make up the map that is required for development, ingestion of nutrients and reproduction in all the categories of living producer organisms that exist. Each strand of DNA is composed of nucleotides, which consist of a sugar (deoxyribose), a phosphate group, and one of four nitrogenous bases: To now for four nucleotides namely adenine (A), thymine (T) or guanine (G or C). These bases are also in turn placed in a sequence in the DNA molecule and it is from this that information necessary for creation of the proteins in a certain organism is generated. This code gets copied into a molecule of messenger RNA (mRNA) to be used in the translation in the formation of proteins with the help of amino acids.
