The type of poison would be glucophagous with glycolytic abilities The type of poison is that it would attach to the glucose to replicate the glycolytic pathway but as it cannot be metabolized it would hence slow or even stop the ability of glucose to be metabolized. In the end, this would stop the whole process of glycolysis and a cell would not be able to use this pathway for obtaining energy at all.
