Culture often changes with time, as a result of phenomena like the use of new technology, interactions and other overarching aspects of the environment. It covers all the aspects of human social existence, including communication and creativity, manners and laws. On the other hand, tradition can be defined loosely as the practices, beliefs or customs which ‘flow on’ through a culture or group of people. Customs are more precise and are often associated with the past. They can belong to this culture but are less permeable and act as a reference to the past. In a way, traditions are a microcosm of culture as the latter is the general structure of the system that defines a certain society while traditions are the components of the said system that is to maintain and develop a connection with the past.
