Scott Fitzgerald which did not have a happy ending. The events of the book are mainly related to the activities of Jay Gatsby who wanted to win back Daisy who is a high social class-based girl. Daisy and Gatsby loved each other previously although after he faced the war and returned after its ending, Gatsby faced major changes. Daisy got married to another person Tom and provided Gatsby this information through a letter. Gatsby returned to the United States after he came to know about Daisy’s marriage and further, he aimed at restoring his relation with Daisy. Moreover, at this time Daisy’s husband was involved in an affair with George Wilson’s wife named Myrtle. As the narration goes through all characters gain knowledge about the others. Wilson also found out about the lover of Myrtle and he failed in discovery of the identity. Tom comes to know about the affair that Gatsby and Daisy were having and this has a huge impact on the fulfillment of the Gatsby’s dreams. Moreover, the girl had also revealed that she was in love with her husband and this led to the ruining of Gatsby’s dreams. Further, Myrtle goes out of her home after which she meets an accident and faced a brutal death. The death of Wilson’s wife increased his anger towards Gatsby as Tom had told him that the car was owned by Gatsby. This incident led to a visit of Wilson to Gatsby’s house after which Gatsby was killed.
