During the first battle of the Korean War in June of 1950,

On 25th June 1950, forces in North Korea had crossed 38th parallel and had also invaded South Korea which marked beginning of Korean war. The United Nations Security Council or UNSCR had provided a quick response by passing the Resolution 83 which led to implementation of the ceasefire and also urged the members of UN to provide appropriate assistance to South Korea so that they are able to repel the attack. The United States also provided immediate levels of pressure to the UN to implement an appropriate action and after this the American forces were sent to South Korea. Many countries like Australia, Canada, Great Britain, India, New Zealand and Canada had also sent their troops for supporting South Korea. The United Nations Command or UNC had been established in 1950 after the recognition that was provided to the aggression in North Korea against South Korea. UNC provides importance to the first attempt made towards the collective security under system of the United Nations. The capital of South Korea, Seoul had been captured by the forces of North Korea in 1950. The “Busan Perimeter” was developed by the South Korean and the US troops which helped in reducing the chances of South Korea capturing North Korea. Civil Assistance sections were incorporated within the United Nations Command with the aim of supporting South Korea in the war against North Korea. Seoul was further freed by the counterattack which was implemented by the UNC and the fight had stopped around 38th parallel. The war-related issues were thereby hugely faced by South Korea in 1950 due to the attack that was made by North Korea and the support from the UN and the US was a major positive aspect that help in developing appropriate solutions.
