What has research shown about processing subliminal messages?

Question: What has research shown about processing subliminal messages?

Answer:

Messages or impulses known as subliminal messages are sent directly to the subconscious mind, beyond the boundaries of perception. The fact that communication is subliminal does not exclude the brain from understanding or processing it. In truth, studies have demonstrated that, even while information can be received beyond the realm of conscious thinking or perception, the brain (and a person in general) can interpret and react to these messages, particularly in a laboratory environment.

According to studies, subliminal signals have been found to elicit certain responses from people, especially when seen in a controlled group or an experimental situation, whether or not they have been processed by the brain. There have been cases where the perception of these messages was powerful enough to trigger a response across the body, even if it is feasible for the conscious mind to miss them.
