Question:- Explain the process of tissue cultures using healthy cells.
Answer
The basics of tissue culture is to grow healthy cells in special laboratory environments where factors such as temperature, pH, and form of vessel are strictly controlled. Initially the sample is obtained from a living organism and placed in the sterilized culture dish that is packed with the critical nutrients for the multiplication. The medium remains at perfect conditions in terms of temperature, humidity, and pH to support pulse action in the cells. When the cells are growing, they can be sub-cultured or passed to different dishes with the new medium or to keep on enlarging the cell population . This technique allows experts to observe cell physiology, drug testing or intervention, and influence the production of desired cell types for different uses where their genetic fidelity will remain intact.
