Answer: Dynamics and kinematics are two subdisciplines of mechanics; however, they have different tensions. Kinematics therefore is the aspect of mechanics that deals with moving objects without necessarily having to explain why they are moving. This pertains to all the computations involved in the description of the motion, position, velocity, acceleration and several other factors. Kinematics provides solutions to questions on the mechanism of motion or the way structures move.

Dynamics on its part, takes it a notch higher to look at what makes objects move or does not make them move. This is concerned with the factors that cause objects to move in such specific a manner. Dynamics presupposes the laws of motion by Isaac Newton and includes such terms as force, mass, and energy. It enables us to make forecasts on how objects will move under certain forces and the reasons behind movements.

Thus, as it has been already said, kinematics deals with motion, while dynamics is responsible for the causes of that motion.
