The increased jealousy of Claudius towards his brother led him to kill him with the aim of becoming a ruler. Shakespeare’s play had started with the tragic news of the death of King of Denmark. The news related to death and the event itself was considered to be hugely unexpected and it was also based on various secrets. Nobody had any knowledge regarding the reason based on the death of King Hamlet as there were no witnesses. Hamlet was the son of the King who was hugely frustrated about the demise of his father. The pain faced by Hamlet increased gradually after he received the shocking news. On the other hand, Hamlet’s mother Gertrude had married Claudius quite soon after the death of his father. Hamlet who was lost in the thoughts was able to figure out the reason behind the killing of his father King Hamlet. The ghost of Hamlet’s father also appears in front of him and provides details related to his story. Hamlet also claimed Claudius to be a dangerous murderer who had the aim of gaining authority and power. Jealous Claudius had also made the decision of getting rid of his brother after poisoning him. After the conversation with the ghost of Hamlet has increased his confusion and on the other hand, Hamlet already has the knowledge regarding the original murder although he does not have any proper evidence.
