Answer: 2. Each person gets to contribute in there own unique way.

There are many benefits of working in a group and one of them is that each member is in a position to contribute in his/her special way. This principle mainly relies on the overall capability of a team’s members, their specialization, and their potential to search for the best solution to a given problem since the number of heads raised is greater than that of one person. Thus, in the example of a work group, the individual skills and abilities are welcomed and foster the improvement of the general performance of the group members.

For instance, in a marketing department in an organization dealing with a new food product launch, one member could be good at statistics and therefore come up with demographic information. The fourth team member could be an expert in writing, and thus come up with creative slogans for the advertisements. A third might be a creative type with an ability to make impressive graphics that reflect the peculiarities of the product. Each individual will be able to concentrate on his or her speciality and as a result, create a quality and well-grounded marketing campaign. However, this approach results in finer outputs and at the same time, people within the group feel valued and are committed to the group tasks since they make a difference to the end product. Moreover, this diversity of input can bring new approaches and ideas to the solving of the problem and performance of the project that would have not appeared if the project were solved or set up within a teamwork of one person or a group of people similar by their interests, experience, and background. Therefore, every individual can give what he/she has to offer in his/her capacity is always a strength of teamwork in as much as it strengthens the output of the work done as well as the satisfaction of the individuals in the team.
