Answer: D. It provided evidence that the Ebu Gogo legend was partially true.
The finding of the Flores Man, better known as Homo floresiensis and as the legend described the people inhabiting Flores Island (Ebu Gogo), was evidence that the indigenous manuscript had some basis in reality. The myth of Ebu Gogo, a small, hairy humanoid medieval denizen of Rote Island in the past, has been passed down for generations. The remains of Homo floresiensis, a rather short breed which only stood at 3.5 feet, were dated to 18,000 years ago. This finding indicated that the Ebu Gogo legend might have been based on the real encounters with the extinct species of this pygmy humans which are most likely to have resulted in forging this Ebu Gogo legend and thus hinting that their legend had some basis in the reality
