CO2, however, is cycled back through the ground and air through the process of photosynthesis by plants and other photosynthetic organisms after they have been converted into organic matter. This cycling of carbon through both the biotic and abiotic parts of the earth’s system provides for the necessary systemic support to all the carbon compounds which are present in the bioengineered world and the natural environment required for life support.
