What state borders the most states in the U.S.?

Question:- What state borders the most states in the U.S.?

Answer: Missouri

Missouri shares borders with eight different states: The territorial boundaries place the state in the following manner; Iowa in the north; Illinois in the east; Kentucky across the Mississippi in the east; Tennessee in the southeast; Arkansas in the south; Oklahoma in the southwest; Kansas towards the west; and Nebraska in the northwest.

This geographic location positioned as surrounded by numerous neighbouring states makes Missouri unique as it is the only state in the contiguous USA that borders with maximum states. Two states which are Alaska and Hawaii are not connected with the other states and hence cannot border any of the states.

The state next in line with the second ST score is Tennessee which also borders 8 states but if the borders crossing river or sea are not considered then Missouri borders fewer states than Tennessee or 7 states to be precise.
