Beginning his war on the 19th of April in the battles of Lexington and Concord that took place in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, the first shots of the war were fired. These skirmishes were between the British soldiers and colonial militiamen, previous to whom started the armed conflict between the Thirteen Colonies and Great Britain.
