When can you recognize the process of pinocytosis?

Question:- When can you recognize the process of pinocytosis?

Answer: Pinocytosis is a process by which cells take in small particles and dissolved materials located in the space surrounding the cell. This process can be evident when viewed under optical or electron microscopy especially when the formation of small invagination or pits of the cell membrane is being observed. These vesicles or pits suck in the surrounding fluid, at this fluid may contain nutrients or proteins or other compounds that are necessary in a cell. Pinocytosis is a form of endocytosis that is involved in picking up nutrients, and antigens and removing receptors from the surface among others. It is a strictly controlled process and one can follow the changes in the plasma membrane and formation of the intracellular vesicles with the engulfed substance inside.
