Question:- Where Is Nick Carraway From?
Answer
Nick Carraway, the author of the book we read, The Great Gatsby, comes from USA, specifically from the Midwest, particularly the state of Minnesota. Living as a part of the privileged one, he is enrolled with the army in World War I and, after that, chooses to live in New York and learn the profession of bond trading. He is renting a modest house in Long Island that can be just across the yard of fabulously wealthy and mysterious Jay Gatsby. For the first time in his life, Nick is given the rare opportunity to see how the couple lives and act. This is a bit unusual for him, and it appears that he categorizes their behavior into one that would follow their financial social status and nothing more . He is of the privileged and is also one of the few sympathetic characters in the Old Man and the Sea.
