Which of the following is a nonrenewable resource?

a) Solar energy

b) Hydrogen fuel cell

c) Wind power

d) Natural gas

Answer: d) Natural gas

It is a vital form of energy in today’s society but is considered a non-renewable source of energy, although this is something which bothers the constant supply of energy as it is utilized. Natural gas is one of the renewable resources that come with fossil fuels such as methane that is formed as a result of the decomposing of plants and animals that were buried under the earth’s crust for millions of years. When utilized as a source of energy and if extracted then it can never be replaced by mankind even in a million years. However, energized solar systems wind power and hydrogen fuel cells when derived from renewable energy sources fall in the category of renewable energy resources because their sources are common in the natural world and the stock of these resources is inexhaustible.
