Radio waves have a relatively large wavelength and can propagate through space with less hindrance, they are immensely used in broadcasting and communicating. X-ray radiations, although of comparatively shorter wavelengths, can also pass through the atmosphere, though the air’s effect is to absorb the radiation much more strongly. For this reason, X-rays from astronomical sources are regularly sensed by space-based observatories indicating they can reach to the Earth’s atmosphere.
