Which of these is not true about entrepreneurs?

Which of these is not true about entrepreneurs?

a. They will always make a profit.

b. They take calculated risks.

c. They encourage economic growth through new ideas.

d. They incur losses when their business or ideas are not successful.

Answer: a. They will always make a profit.

An entrepreneur is a person who assumes venturesome obligations but instead of following someone’s orders, he or she creates his or her businesses or enterprises. Although they are capable of making money from their idea or projects, more often than not, they are not guaranteed to make a profit. I find option b of this question more appropriate: entrepreneurship is risky but not foolhardy; and option c of this question is also true since entrepreneurship is a driver of innovation that can birth new products, services or business models that enhance economic activity and generate employment. But as they say, not all business plans come out fruitful and thus, option d, is acceptable stating that entrepreneurs may experience losses when their enterprises or ideas fail in the market. Every journey to the world of entrepreneurship is filled with obstacles, disappointments, and, quite often, the necessity to start over.
