Taxes are considered to be the compulsory levies that are paid by the economic agents to different governments. Taxes are considered to be major revenue sources for governments. All individuals may not need to file the federal taxes and each of the state implement different laws related to the taxes. The state taxes need to be filed by all individuals. However, the all individuals may not need to file the federal taxes. The preparation of taxes can prove to be different for the people who live in the different states as the rates and laws related to taxes vary based on the states. The district rules that are implemented in different states based on taxation of the income levels, sales and property are also quite different as some of the states may not levy any taxes on the income levels. For example, the United States, people need to file the state taxes and the federal taxes as well. However, huge differences exist in the requirements and processes related to preparation of the taxes according to the states in which the individuals reside. Each of the states have their different laws related to taxes that can influence different individuals based on their income levels, the residence and the ways by which income levels were earned. On the other hand, the states like Texas, Nevada and Florida have not levied the state-based income taxes, although the states like California and New York have implemented state-based income tax. The people staying in the states without state-based income taxes will thereby only pay the federal taxes and those living the states with state-based income tax will have to file the state taxes and the federal taxes as well. The amounts of taxes and the types of taxes that are required to be paid by the individuals are thereby influenced by the laws in the states. However, all individuals will have to file the federal taxes irrespective of the states in which they are living.
