Wolff’s law of bone explains the effect of
Select one:
a. different diets on bone elongation
b. mechanical stress on bone remodelling
c. temperature on bone growth
d. age on bone thickening
e. sex on bone widening
Answer: b. mechanical stress on bone remodelling
According to Wolff’s Law, the bone of an individual or animal that is healthy will remodel it based on loads placed upon them. When specific bone loading increases, the respective bones gradually transform so that they would get stronger facing such type of loads. The converse is true as well. If the load on a bone decreases it will make that these bones are weaker because osteoblastic activity is not strong enough . This is through the mechanical stress action on bones, which remodels them in order to become stronger bone.
